Unstoppable force vs. Immovable objectPOSTED: 06 January 2012 Unstoppable force vs. Immovable object Here we go boys and girls! The next chapter in a rivalry that gave the most unexpected result of the season! I was in disbelief over that 1-6 City vs. United match at Old Trafford that knocked United off the top of the EPL table. Poor sods haven’t gone back up since. I reckon they’ll come to the Etihad Stadium with a score to settle.
But maybe United want the win more than City do, if only to save face. Don’t get me wrong, silverware is silverware but for City at the moment, unless they let their form sag, they could cruise the rest of the way to the EPL title. Either way, this will be an exciting match, and I believe both teams will come out with guns blazing. But at the end of the day, I say they are two of the most powerful teams in the league and picking out the better squad is more difficult than it sounds. Unfortunately for both, this in my opinion will be a tug-o-war between two equal forces. Usually in cases like these, a draw is an uneventful, but likely outcome. Verdict: Draw |
