 Goal for the Gods

“Punters Pad” is now completing 3 months of “Live broadcasting”…. I am sure by now you have a good idea about the strengths and weaknesses of our Tipsters…

Have you ever considered why Kenny is always tipping on Italian football? Nope, you guessed wrong, it’s not the fact that he is fluent in Italian and have inside information. It has to do with a very simple fact. Kenny, is a keen lover of pizza. There is a stunning Italian restaurant in his neighborhood and Kenny hangs out there all the time. The cook likes his red wine and has a few bottles every night. This is when Kenny is trying to pick his brains and come up with the picks for his own section.

Did you ever wonder why Louis (on my left hand side) is only tipping on the Premiership? To be frank, Louis, has no real idea about football… He’s true passion is horseracing. Every time he attends the races he is madly trying to ask his mates for some information to impress all of us. To relieve Louis from his misery, I have spoken to our trading team already and asked them to price up “Pub league” football. I am sure it will be far more suitable for Louis and provide him with the opportunity to demonstrate his unique knowledge and in the future help us beat the bookies with tips like “Cider united VS Lager unlimited”

As for me? You might have noticed that so far I have demonstrated a keen interest across various European leagues? English, German, Spanish… for this week, we will focus our attention to what I would call a “2nd gear” league.. the Greek Superleague.

Olympiakos is leading the race by 5 points to second placed Panathinaikos. Without really excelling this season, they have performed very consistently in an unforgiving way. Of course they were defeated by both their rivals Panathinaikos and AEK Athens but they still managed to regroup and get their pieces together.

This weekend, Olympiakos is playing at home against Panserraikos. Olympiakos at home has an impressive 8 wins in 8 games with average goal differences of more than 2 goals. On the contrary, Panserraikos, have 1-1-6 when playing away. The team of Dragan Kokotovic were defeated at home last week from AEK Athens by 1-3. This season, it’s honorable to say they tend to play modern football without trying to destroy the oppositions’ game by playing massive defense. Unfortunately for them, I don’t anticipate they will be able to stop the League leaders and most probably their defense will conceive several goals.

Home win and over 2 goals @ 1.95
