It’s anyone’s game, and whoever says different is a daft tosser. For the weekend it’s Bayern Munich vs. Schalke. Third place vs. fourth, with ONE point in between the two (so exciting!), in a race where the smallest of things (like one win) can do so much (like boost chances for Bundesliga glory). Must be frustrating for Bayern then. One draw, and next thing you know they’re down to third. Unless they return to winning form FAST, their chances in ending in first place could slip farther away. As for Schalke, beating Bayern moves them within striking distance of Borussia Dortmund. This match is a battle for second place, and I assure you that Bayern Munich will demolish Schalke. Why? Check the tables, chaps. They have 4 straight wins at home, with 3 straight clean sheets. This, against Schalke’s recent 2 wins and 2 losses on the road? Bayern are a squad feared by many for good reason. They never stay down long enough for other teams to take advantage. At home, they are incredibly deadly – a fact that Schalke should take into account. No use dragging this out folks. Bayern will take this one, and I expect another clean sheet from a team that won’t settle for third place. Verdict: Home win, clean sheet
