Eyes on the Magpies

 Eyes on the Magpies

I bet Bolton manager Owen Coyle is thinking “when it rains, it pours” right about now. First the Wanderers had to contend with losing central defender Zat Knight due to an ankle ligament injury. And then, as if to test the limits of their resolve to play, yet another defender, Sam Ricketts, is taken out of the game because of a ruptured Achilles tendon. Some would see this turn of events as Bolton left with their defence wide open, and this may just be the opportunity Newcastle is waiting for to move up the ranks. Add to that a boon Newcastle seems to be having with Joey Barton, who is cleaning up his act and delivering the goods for Newcastle. And if you happen to notice the odds on the match like I did, well, I have to say, my money’s on Newcastle.
