Still shocked over that home defeat at Anfield last weekend. Who here expected Wigan to actually beat Liverpool? Not me!
Then again even before that humiliation they were at 4 losses and 1 win in 5 matches in the EPL. So maybe not so surprising after all.
What’s going on with them, I’m at a loss. But maybe they’ll find some redemption at the Sports Direct Arena against Newcastle. Maybe.
A few weeks back I would have said that Kenny Dalglish’s men could climb out of the hole they’ve dug for themselves, and pull of a magnificent win. But after their recent displays, I don’t really know what’s left to expect.
Newcastle are riding high in the EPL, earning 4 wins and 2 draws in 6 home games. This, against a Liverpool team that can’t even score a victory in their home stadium, against one of the worst teams in the league.
Not to be a sourpuss here, I respect what Liverpool stand for. But with the way they’re playing, it’s hard for me to tell people to put their money on a bet as unsure as this one. If you chaps are feeling either daring or supportive of the Reds, then by all means wager your money on a Liverpool victory.
But from my chair here, a Newcastle win would be a safe bet. It pains me to say this, but at the moment, with the state they’re in, Liverpool don’t have a chance of stealing a win this weekend.
