Dortmund in Best Shape

 Dortmund in Best Shape

If I asked you in the beginning of the season to guess which team in the German Bundesliga would drop into the relegation zone, I won’t be sure what answer I’d get. But I’m sure it wouldn’t have been Werder Bremen or Stuttgart. Thing is, if you look at them now, Stuttgart has only 19 points and are second to the last in the table while Bremen has only 24 so far and are on the brink of dropping into the relegation zone.

On the other end of the table, I don’t think people expected to see Dortmund sitting at the top with a comfortable 10 point lead, but they’ve done it. This young team has done very well so far this season. I’m glad to hear that the manager Jurgen Klopp has already decided to extend his contract with Dortmund and during winter break, the club was able to keep and retain its key players. On this note, I’d like to mention Japanese star Shinji Kagawa. Klopp spent 0.3M Euro to bring him from Japan to Germany and so far, he’s been worth every cent. The Japanese youngster has been playing excellent football this season scoring 8 goals alongside 2 assists that has awarded him with the half season MVP honour. He should be currently worth at least 20 million which is how Klopp can easily extend his contract.

Dortmund is in their best form, suffering only a single loss so far this season. Their next opponent is St. Pauli and I don’t think they will stand a chance against Dortmund. My pick is a Home win over 1.5.
